MCSA Digital Learning Plan
Through deliberate planning and execution, the administration and instructional staff will develop capacity in effective digital learning and teaching. This plan aligns to the North Carolina Digital Learning Competencies and is carried out through ongoing Professional Development from various organizations such as Discovery Place, Code.org and Project Lead the Way.
Administration sets expectations and supports these efforts by providing time and expert resources. Teachers, through collaboration in PLCs, share and hone their instructional practices. Students become proficient in using technology effectively to retrieve, interpret, and apply information that can identify legitimate sources, cite these resources, and create ideas and opinions based on the application of this knowledge.
Instructors will use technology to assess student knowledge, interpret data, and through collaboration with school leadership teams, plan instruction to meet the needs of students. Students will have access to and practice with on-line assessment through various platforms suitable for the age and subject level.
