Please note that Southwest Charlotte STEM Academy will be submitting an application to participate in the 21CCL grant program. This would provide us the ability to offer tuition free after school programming for up to 150 students who meet the program’s criteria for 32 weeks of the school year beginning in September 2024 and a 4-week summer program for up to 150 students who meet the program’s criteria.

These programs include academic remediation support as well as a robust enrichment component that will offer students leadership programs, STEM programs, Visual and Performing Arts and Health/PE/Nutrition to name a few!

Transportation and Snacks will also be provided for participants. Parent participation and engagement is critical to the success of the program, and we will be provided quarterly parent workshops to make sure parents are engaged and have access to the School and to support their students.

The School will post the entire application upon submission and share information related to the award when notified in June. If the School is awarded funds, the School will host a public meeting to discuss the program, and how students will be selected to participate.
